An Introduction to ADA

ADA stands for Aqua Design Amano, which is Takashi Amano’s company.

Takashi Amano pioneered the ‘Nature Aquarium’: he used CO2 injection to enhance plant growth which meant that for the first time in the history of the planted tank it was easy to achieve beautiful, lush, green, natural plant growth that mimicked nature – hence the term ‘Nature Aquarium’.

7 New Aquatic + 1 New Vivarium Plant Species

We have now added a further 7 new aquatic plant species and 1 new vivarium plant species to our website. These are all by Anubias plants and are very good quality plants.

The new varieties are;
Aponogeton Madagascariensis Henkelianus

Echinodorus Muricatus Red

Echinodorus Kleiner Bar

We have just added over 30 new individual pieces of Redmoor Root Wood to the site.

These pieces are hand selected by our auascapers to ensure that they are suitable for aquascaping and help you achieve optimum results.

ADA: The Final Countdown...

Not long left!

Our ADA order was dispatched some time ago and the Estimated Time of Arrival is 8th September. So not long now...

ADA and Do!aqua catalogues are now available to purchase online so you can browse the full range of ADA. These will be dispatched from the 8th September onwards.

New Plant Range

We are really excited to introduce a new range of plants from a new supplier.

This means that we can now offer over 30 new species of aquatic plants as well as a range of plants that are specifically designed for use in terrariums.

All these plants are available as single pots so that you get complete aquascaping choice.
Our new selection includes;

Closed Sundays from 20th June 2010

Our opening hours are changing, we will not be open on Sundays from 20th June 2010 unless by pre-arranged appointment.

If you need to visit on a Sunday, get in touch at least 48 hours before your visit and we can arrange to open specifically for you.

Our new opening times are:

Monday to Saturday 10am - 6pm.
