The IAPLC 2010 is fast approaching – the closing date for entries is May 31st 2010.
Grand Prize is Y 1,000,000! There are also money and trophy prizes for top 26 places after the top prize, as well as certificates for the next 100 places. All entries are published in the 2010 booklet which is distributed around the world.
This year is the 10th anniversary of the competition, and the perfect occasion for the UK to show off its aquascaping talent and achieve the recognition that we deserve.
There is a wealth of ability in the UK and the IAPLC is the perfect showground for the UK to claim its position as a leading world force in international aquascaping, and mark the UK the aquascaping world map.
The more entries we have, the higher the profile of UK aquascaping will be raised. Every year UK entries creep higher up the rankings, securing a well-deserved international reputation.
On a personal basis, the IAPLC not only provides a challenge, but an opportunity to display your work on an international stage and gain credit for your artistry. Additionally, it provides an opportunity to perfect your aquascaping skills and see your work in print.
If you particularly want to score highly in the competition, pay close attention to the marking scheme. Points are awarded for;
Artistic impression – 100 points
Technical Points;
– Creativity – 20 points
– Composition/arrangement of plants – 20 points
– Balance between the fish and the layout design – 20 points
– Natural atmosphere – 20 points
– Aquatic plants’ condition and time progress of layout – 20 points
